SEO Online Marketing-Why You Need it To Make Money Online

If You Truly Want to Make it Online Over The Long-Haul, You Must Understand SEO
-
SEO is Not Nearly As Hard to Understand As Many So-Called SEO “Experts” Will Tell You.
Understanding SEO is one of the best ways to achieve long-term results online. Without SEO, getting traffic to your site, no matter what the subject matter will be difficult, costly, or both. Even if your overall strategy doesn’t employ SEO, knowing about it is only going to be a positive factor in setting up your site for success. When speaking about SEO, it really divides into two different categories. One is “onpage” SEO factors, or those factors that are directly under your control on the pages of your website. I’ll talk about that in another post. The other is “offpage” factors that exist outside of your website, but can have a direct impact on the your search engine rankings.![]()
On this page, I am primarily going to address “offpage” factors and the idea of obtaining “backlinks” from other, high page rank sites that are relevant to your content. Getting these “backlinks” from other sites to yours is a great way to have your site climb in the search engine results pages (SERPS).
Why are backlinks important? Because one of the big ways the Search Engines rank your site is by determining it’s relevance to what a user is searching for. Clearly, you have to optimize and search your keywords. However, relevance means more than just picking a bunch of keywords and building a site around them. Relevance also means that other sites that have a similar subject matter to yours (i.e. that are relevant) also are linked to your site.
Preferably, the sites that link to your site should already be deemed as “relevant” for their content by Google. Google assigns a number to relevance, kind of like a popularity contest, for every site. This number is known as “page rank” (named after Larry Page, Google co-founder) and ranges from 0 through 9, with 9 being the highest. Is it possible for a site to be ranked on the first page of results with a zero Page Rank? Yes, but it must be showing it’s relevance in some other way (keywords, domain name, age) to make up for that fact.

Your job as an affiliate marketer from an SEO point of view is to try and get backlinks from relevant sites with high page rank so your site will begin to rank higher. One way to do this is through articles submitted to high Page Rank article directories. For more on that elsewhere in this site click here.
However, another way to do this in addition to your article marketing efforts is to get backlinks from blogs that have a high Page Rank and are relevant to your topic. You may be saying to yourself right now. “Oh Great, how do I find those?”. Indeed, a very reasonable question. Luckily I have a short cut for you that will make it super easy,
USE THESE CODES TO FIND HIGH RANK BLOGS FOR BACKLINKS
Step 1- Use Firefox as your Browser. Download Firefox browser for free here then download SEO Quake for Free here. These two items will allow you to see the Pagerank for every site that comes up in your search results for any search engine. You can also place the results of each search in ascending or descending order, easily targeting the high PR blogs.
Step 2- Use the following query string to find blogs by keyword that are relevant to your site.
site:.com inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “ADD YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.org inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “ADD YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “ADD YOUR KEYWORD”
site:.gov inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” “ADD YOUR KEYWORD”
Where it says “add your keyword” you will want to fill in one of the keywords your site is targeting. What you will get will be a list of blogs that are relevant to that keyword you can comment on. Use SEO Quake to order the first page of results in ascending order so you can target the high Page Rank Blogs first.
The reason for commenting is that most blogs allow you to leave a URL as part of your comment. This URL will be the backlink to your site and help you build your ranking with search engines. Make sure that each comment you leave is real, has value and is not totally self-serving. The reason for that is that almost all high Page rank blogs will be monitored by an admin who will delete any spam comments they see. So make it worthwhile if you want to get results. Do this as a weekly or daily activity, and the results will build over time as you see your site climb in the rankings, all due to your new knowledge of SEO Online Marketing.
